Polarized News

abrown160

Many of the news publishers are extremely political, or at least very different depending on their political views. Most of the news publishers need to be polarized to be considered relevant, as most people would rather listen to the news that follows their beliefs. However, as more time passes, these news publishers become more and more polarized. In C.W. Anderson’s article, “Journalism changed under Trump - will it keep changing under Biden”, he states, “How does one enhance the democratic potential of an elite system in which half no longer believes in liberal democracy?”. Most people know that these news companies are biased, and a lot of people are starting to turn away from large media platforms. This can be problematic as a lot of people’s livelihoods are from working for media companies. However, a lot of the population are wanting to see more non-biased news. This creates a bit of conflict between the two.
