Politics Disrupts Journalism

csessions2

Professor of media and communication, C.W. Anderson, wrote this article about how journalism was, and is, effected by politics. Anderson states that under Trump journalism "has begun to transform itself far more fundamentally than any digital technology (blogging, podcasting, the iPhone) ever has." In the article, he continues to bring to light some of the challenges that journalists have faced. Just one example of a challenge, is they have to choose between their beliefs and being a reporter who covers stories that will gain traction, or agree with the current political stances. He then brings up the question of how journalism will change further under our current President, Joe Biden.
