The thing that I noticed in all of these pictures is that they were all taken in the moment with no photoshop. The reason is that they are trying to encapsulate the joy and emotion of the moment and show the victory of the 44th President Barack Obama and his fellow family and staff. All the articles contain some remark that Obama has made history and has done something that no one thought was ever possible, to begin with. The most eye-catching papers are ones that have the format of a colossal picture plastered on the front of the page where everyone can see. In addition to is a row of words at the bottom of the paper. Another aspect to this is the colossal letters that let you know who is on the front cover, for example, on the Philadelphia Daily News cover. The Philadelphia Daily News has an image of Obama that takes over the entire front page and colossal letters at the bottom that tell us what it is about. The visuals all show the different sides that Obama has demonstrated throughout his election campaign. The visuals show Obama happy with his family on stage after he was announced the president of the United States and him with his vice president. The text in the ones that I have the smaller pictures has twice the words usually have Obama and the whole family. The Newspapers also use quotations, for example, Obama: “Change has come to America”. To bring the reader’s eye to the primary purpose of the newspapers.
