In Alfred and Marys' article they share the life of nonprofit journalism. According to the article,nonprofit journalism is what brings the news to the table and how politics and policies sometimes do change due to this type of journalism.They give the reason as too why many journal news rooms turn to their readers and subscribers for many. Many would not know this is what their money goes towards,but it does end up taking a big toll on the news rooms. It helps them more than anyone would think,and it helps get ‘quality’ news out there. Without investigative journalist a lot of things would be swept under the rug. It is necessary to fund these groups and like the article stated the need to produce enough funding “to keep going for years and years is challenging and necessary.”
