Millions of people today use Snapchat ranging from each generation from Baby Boomers to Gen Z, while the majority of its users are likely Gen Z and Millenials the way the app presents its news can be contributed to the general ages of the majority of users. In the Snapchat app, you can scroll over to find a plethora of news sources like CNN, NBC News, or even Daily Mail. While a user can subscribe to news sources in particular there is also a discover page filled with advertisements, stories, and news that might be difficult to navigate especially for a new user. Many of the titles of these articles seem more like clickbait which is putting in a title such as "You won't believe what happens next" as a way to attract a reader to the page and may not even include what the user would be shocked to find out. Not only is this done on minor advertisements and celebrity gossips pages on the app but major news sources use this tactic as well along with an emboldened picture of something related to the event.
