PSY OPS

Psychological warfare uses misinformation tactics to affect the outcomes of conflicts. These tactics include demoralization, propaganda, false flag operations, terrorism, and information warfare.

Demoralization is a tactic that demotivates an enemy to stop fighting. One does this by distributing pamphlets that show enemies how to surrender, playing loud noises for long periods of time, or by decimating the enemy quickly with superior technology in a tactic known as shock and awe. Terrorism is a form of shock and awe.

Propaganda uses misinformation to gain the trust of the effected. A power can hijack radio broadcasts to change the beliefs of listeners. False flag operations use misinformation and propaganda to create distrust against a different offending party.

Information warfare uses information to gain a "competitive advantage over an opponent."
