Pulling on the heart strings

Kinser Malicoat

Social media rhetoric is designed in a way to be eye-catching and Stumbled upon. And it all happens quickly and easily. Just scrolling through Instagram you can find ads for things you never knew you needed. They flash around the product and just like any other advertisement, they show all the things you can do with it and why you need it. "While many marketers focus on reach and engagement, none of that matters if the message contained within our content doesn’t resonate with the audience." (Crossfield) https://contentmarketinginstitute.com/2016/12/social-media-content-rhetoric/. A great example of this is the ASPCA and their campaign to save animals has been notorious for its tearjerking commercials that make people open their wallets.
