I spoke with my friend, Davante Peters, about issues in our community and ask what step he would take to solve it. The main issue that was brought to my attention is lack of voters. He stated that “people have to understand the importance of voting and educate themselves on who wants to be in office. “A lot of people are upset about gun laws and abortion but don’t realize the person running the city or state makes a big impact to the decisions behind those laws”. To spread voting awareness my friend said that he posts daily to his social media during voting season. He also host voting awareness parties for family and friends.
