We often live in our own bubble and don't recognize the struggles of those around us, not even necessarily on the other side of the world, even just around the corner from us. I decided to look up journalism around the world and came across an article regarding refugees. Imagine, running for the safety of your family. This particular journalist, Jason McClure, writes about a filmmaker forced to leave Afghanistan with his wife and 2 daughters. He found out he was on a hit list through a friend, due to the most recent production he had released - in which the main character mentions wanting to lay down the fire arms and choose peace. This is what set off the Taliban. The article discusses his midnight travels, hiding in abandoned buildings, being beaten and all the while retaining footage of their escape on their cell phones. Being a filmmaker, naturally this became a movie. The reporter includes some of the footage along with audio of an interview with the movie producer, Edom Kassaye.
