Sarah Marshall wrote an article about a small research done on the time of day people want news updates. On Niemanlab’s Predictions for Journalism 2020, Sarah writes how young people are consuming their news throughout the day on their phones. She explains how in the morning readers want a quick news update before getting ready for the day. Throughout the day, they want interesting thing to fill in the times of boredom. In the evenings people whine down for the day usually sitting in bed reading news articles. Sarah calls this “Dedicated moments where they give time to news.” She explains how readers use the weekends for long reads. Sarah hopes to bring this information into 2020 to better expose her news articles.
