This article written by Logan Jaffe really spoke to me. With this day and age life is just full of craziness, of constant movements, and of more and more elaborate efforts. But the real key to life, especially journalism, is to just simplify the things you do. Sit there and realize that doing so much in a quick amount of time isn't always whats necessary. Life is moving so fast that sometimes people forget to learn and they just keep finding newer solutions to cover up rather than just learning and trying again. Mrs. Jaffe explains that maybe journalist should "spend less time brainstorming and more time learning from our failures", instead of moving on take time and just think. Journalism can be very fast paced to always be on top and be the best of the best but there may just be a simpler way to get just as far. Learning and listening could simply just include "acknowledging, internalizing, and thoughtfully responding to emails, Facebook messages, and tweets from readers and community members"', and by doing this you will get just as far and even gain more respect. Listening was known as a "superpower of community engagement skills" and maybe if more journalist took the time to realize it, their lives would become a lot less hectic and just as accomplishing.
