Social media has evolved so much over time that we can now share political beliefs and gain a deeper understanding of the issues facing our society. The communication aspect of our lives has become significantly easier as we can now advocate for new organizations that we may have never known of originally. One really great example is the BLM movement and how it has gained such a large following so quickly while also informing a huge audience of important issues. An article by Muck Rack (How social media has changed the way we communicate) says “Consumers expect full transparency from companies” meaning that social media sources are expected to be as transparent as possible without filtering the ideas of individuals. This enables many people to explore new ideas and change their political beliefs while staying educated.
