Social media is a great way to communicate, promote, and share information in today’s world. Each social media platform has a different target audience and has different rhetorical analysis for each. Instagram is a rapidly growing platform that “is heavily utilized by more than half of all 18-29 year old internet users” (Swan par. 4). Posting a brightly, astetic picture and fun caption will grab the attention of the user and persuade them to look into the product or company further. On the other hand, if you are trying to target an older audience, Facebook would be the way to go. On Facebook the best rhetorical tactic would be to use straightforward information and a demonstration of how the product works.
