Throughout my day, I constantly switch between my two favored social media apps, Snapchat and Twitter. These apps were originally designed for the use of sharing personal news, but have recently transitioned into sharing relevant national/local news. A little over 5 years ago in January of 2015, Snapchat, "...rolled a new tool into its news portal, Discover," that allowed credible sources to upload their news onto the app. Even after 5 years, I can speak for myself and say that I still find this feature incredibly useful because of how easy it is to access the news. Strangely enough, Twitter has a feature nearly identical to Discover called, "Moments," that allows sources to, "...share breaking news." The functionality is exactly the same as Snapchat which appeals to people using social media apps.
