Since there are a plethora of social media platforms to choose from, there is no way I could neglect the other two titans of the industry, Facebook and Instagram. These two apps rely more closely on personal choice rather than news providers shoving themselves into the users' faces. For example, Instagram's "follow" feature allows users to, "Simply go through the suggestions and hit “Follow” for anyone whose updates you’d like to see." So, if they would like to stay updated from a news channel they are invested in, they can do that by following them. Facebook works the exact same way by allowing you to "friend" these pages which subsequently shows their posts on your news feed.
