The internet has always being the breeding place for fake news as just anyone could post their thoughts or contents other freely. I was scrolling through Facebook one day and saw the picture of a dead person with an emotional story written by it then continued scrolling to see that same body with an entirely different story under it again. Some people spread rumor and fake content just to get media attention and presence.
The ways you can filter your information intake to spot the fake news is by ignoring "ragebaits" contents as they are mostly trying to "get traffic through people's anger"(Robertson).

Do your research before believing the story, Do not believe images and short video content until it has being proven genuine by a verified site. The rhetorical strategies this people are using are emotionally provoking contents or topics that would spark debates. I was once a sole shipper some of kpop groups and male celebrities but I have learned to just keep my girly excitement and fantasy to myself.
