Spotting Fake News

Often times we scroll on social media liking and sharing things we find interesting. Part of the time sharing these posts we find could possibly spread false information. So how do we tell when something is fake news or not, Eugene Kiely and Lori Robertson have some types on spotting the fakes. First would be consider the source, a great way to see if a source is credible is to fact check the sources. Secondly, Read beyond the headline "If a provocative headline drew your attention, read a little further before you decide to pass along the shocking information. Even in legitimate news stories, the headline doesn’t always tell the whole story." Lastly check the author "another tell-tale sign of a fake story is often the byline." If you ever have to wonder if a article is reliable remember these tips.
