Stopping the Spread of Fake News on Twitter

Fake news is extremely prominent on every social media platform available. Users or companies spread false information to gain interest or popularity, or even try to sway opinions. Social media apps are attempting to stop this misinformation. One platform specifically, is trying to "help users find reliable information." In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are highlighting reliable information on how to prevent it, and leading people to public service announcements from experts. They have a tab on the explore page dedicated to this. This is an excellent way for Twitter to highlight information rather than hide every false piece of news.
