This past week, an unexpected snow storm "brought record low temperatures, ice and snow" to Texas (Wurzburger). Looking on Instagram, or other social media, the snow storm is portrayed as fun and beautiful. While this is true, there are bigger issues coming from the snow storm that aren't shown on Instagram. Texas was not well prepared for this type of weather; thousands of people have been dealing with busted pipes, losing heat, and losing power, for a short amount of time or extended period up to 4-5 days. Some of my family members had lost power for a couple of days and they were wearing "all [their] ski gear, and [made] food on a wood fire just trying to stay warm".
