Texas is facing a winter storm that we were not ready for. Affecting 100 million Americans, in need of power, and clean water. Lines at stores grow as people grab food, water, and supplies. Ercot continuously working to restore power while the storm is being blamed for 30 deaths and 300 plus carbon monoxide poisoning cases. I asked a local business owner in Texas, what they think we could have done differently, and their response was, " Everyone should have been more informed about the grids lack of winterization and about the fact that we don't participate in a regional grid, where we could have bought power from another state. Most of all given fair warning to gather appropriate supplies, be better prepared, or to evacuate to another state while the roads were still clear."
