Facebook and Instagram recently joined forces and it’s clear that they are both platforms that many different generations use. But what makes them different is a make or break. While Facebook has both images and text they dominate in textual information and news. On the other hand Instagram focuses on using the optical aspects, they saturate the users’ feed with images that promote awareness and news. Instagram does use text but not in the same quantity as Facebook. At the end of the day it depends on which type of news needs to be conveyed if the message can be received through an image then Instagram may be more effective however if the news is more text oriented than Facebook would be the better option. “...images perform better on Instagram than Facebook since that’s what Instagram is primarily used for.
