There are more than a thousand newspapers just in the United States, but they all share a similar characteristic which is the front page. After seeing more than 50 frontpages, I get to the conclusion, that the front page is the most important page of the newspaper. The frontpage is like an introduction to an essay. Because it includes the most important things that will be work further in the next pages. Furthermore, the front page is the first page of the newspaper, which is why it has to catch the attention of the reader and transmit on one page what type of newspaper he is reading. "However, stories are not the only features that are presented on the front page. Other design elements, such as headlines and photos, are also taken into consideration—along with typographic decisions and graphic features—to highlight each story." (Kim, 2) From the many front pages that I see at Newseum, they all have similar characteristics, they include at least 3 pictures and give a preview of 3 to 5 articles. A simple organization where they can catch the attention and give a preview of the articles that will be cover in the newspaper.
