The Danger of Fake News

Within the past 5 years, the term "fake news" has gone completely viral and nearly everyone across the world knows what it is and what it is about. According to an article that I was reading, "...60% of Americans get their information via social media." This would not seem like an issue at face value, but because social media can be used by absolutely anyone, it blurs the line between fake and credible news. For example, there is a news site under the name of ETF News, and they regularly publish fake news in order to target our emotions. The publishers are able to see what the general public is looking for related to news, and they can create an article in an instant that will satisfy those needs. This is a dangerous game to play because there is no longer a true separation in fake and credible news.
