With the age of Information that we are living in today, comes the simple fact that hiding the truth is becoming increasingly harder. Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is "a combination of creative and critical thinking to navigate digital sources on the web" according to Ståle Grut, journalist and strategic advisor at the R&D lab of Norwegian public broadcasting. Grut's "OSINT journalism goes mainstream" says that journalistic OSINT "builds on a wide range of digital sources deriving from new camera technology and internet services." Cameras are prevalent today and because of this, hiding the truth is rarely successful and will become even less so with the expansion of OSINT.
