The Future Consumers of News

It is time to think of the news industries' future consumers and what we can do to help them navigate the excess information given to them. The article News literacy programs aren't child's play discusses how "Teaching children (and other news consumers) to be active rather than passive recipients could also help pierce the information bubbles we live in.". Teaching children to ask questions such as "Who created this story, and do they have an agenda?" and "How does this compare to how others are talking about this issue?" helps them reflect critically about the media they are consuming and what it means.
