The Future of the Audio Web

The introduction of Amazon's Alexa and the Google Assistant are some of the many examples of how audio can surge in popularity when it comes to delivering news. According to Steve Henn, "At Google, we’ve taken the first steps to understanding audio and making it searchable and discoverable online. Today, we are indexing and transcribing every story in audio news." This basically means that any event that is occurring at any moment will be able to be shared in audio form. Google intends to expand on this idea in hopes of making it more interactive and useful for education, work, or even in the house.
