"The neutrality vs. objectivity game ends"

Jorge Bocarando

One phrase that stood out when I was reading this article was-" she held a common and misguided idea that I couldn’t be neutral or objective because my skin makes it impossible to see all sides.”.

Personally I think this is what starts that problem in the community of staying neutral or objective, the fact that people are bringing it out is one of the most important reasons why this is still a problem.

if people didn't bring this out as much the curve will even out making the whole topic go away, and by doing this everyone will be treated equally.

something like this happened to me and I'm thankful it was in a positive way; back when I was working in this retail store I had two managers, well call them number one and two and well number was the boss.

Manager number 2 was always nice to me and we created a friendship mostly because we both were Hispanic, while I and manager number 1 didn't get along, she was not Hispanic but she used to act differently with everybody because of our nationalities and color.

So I understand where this journalist is coming from and I think that it doesn't matter your color, you can stay neutral to a topic.
