The Recent Eruption of La Soufriere

"More explosions could occur" is the eye-grabbing title of an article by Doyle Rice on the explosion of a volcano on the island Saint Vincent. Surprisingly, in 1979 when the last eruption happened around 1,600 people perished to the volcano. Thankfully, the island had evacuation protocols for this exact event. "There were no immediate reports of casualties from the eruption that occurred four days short of the 42nd anniversary of the last significant eruption." To my surprise four cruise ships arrived to the island to aid in evacuating all of the people that live in the danger zone of the volcano. The used the ethos rhetorical strategy by using imagery and statistical data on the volcano and the eruptions dimensions. [1 image, 1 links, 1 quotation, 120 words].
