Allen, Texas is such a prosperous are, from what people can see. But we don't realize that families are deprived of proper nutrition every single day. In the Collin County area alone 14.2% of people are food deprived. That may not seem like a lot, but from the area we come from, it is a shocking number. You would never realize that a town like Allen would have families who are not taken care of. We have a scarce amount of organizations that try to help these people because they do not realize that some families are not as fortunate. It is sad to realize that Allen is such a good area to live in and is highly praised, yet there are families who can barely get dinner on the table. Our residents need to wake up and start helping those in need to hopefully make a change for the better.
