The Uprising of Delivery

churst10

The Corona virus has trapped hundreds of thousands of civilians in their homes, and caused

many grocery stores to simply run out of stock on several canned and fresh foods. With these shortages, many have turned to delivery services, and companies are beginning to notice. Several companies have created advertisements catering to ordering food online, such as Chipotle, Doordash, and Uber Eats. NPR states "About half of all states have placed limitations on restaurants: No dining-in allowed — only take-out, delivery, and the occasional drive-thru" (Sarmiento), which has caused companies to take advantage of the "new normal" we are now experiencing. With these marketing tactics proving successful, companies delivery services might see a complete overhaul when many quarantines have ended, and delivery may very well be changed forever.
