Journalism is important for our society. Journalism can provide our society news today and in the future. Even though journalism has its conflicts, it has its advantages. Journalists are facing several opportunities today or will help them in the future. One opportunity that journalists are faced with is younger people are ready to take over and run things. Julia B. Chan and Kim Bui declared that “We were told we weren’t ready, we didn’t have enough experience, we didn’t have the right experience, we weren’t a good culture fit, or we were too radical. And then 2020 happened.” Younger people getting involved in journalism is a good opportunity. Another opportunity that journalists face is the use of local arts and music. Joni Deutsch clarified that “... Thanks to arts and music. It improves our quality of life and strengthens our sense of place. The combination of arts and music is an opportunity for journalists to feel comfortable and happy. Another opportunity that journalists face is having a conversation with others. Chicas Poderosas stated that “Actual diversity is about including ‘others’ in the conversation, about them becoming a part of us.” Journalists can learn new things and more information from others.
