Each of media sources has their own way of delivering news. They also use their own techniques to get the viewer's attention. Pathos and logos are some ways media platforms use to attract people. Logos are used to "persuade the targeted audience by employing reason or logic". These can be found all over social media with everyone's argument on a topic, which is usually political. Pathos is a "method of convincing people with an argument drawn out through an emotional response". A few pathos examples include celebrity deaths, wildfires in Australia, and disease spreading like the corona virus. These devices are key for media companies to use because if they didn't use them, we wouldn't bother reading their stories.
