Among others, National Public Radio has made significant efforts to stop and track misinformation from spreading to their viewers. However, in many cases a lot of times they come across many dead ends. One example is the headline "FBI Agent Suspected In Hillary Email Leaks Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide." Which turned out to be incorrect. Upon many attempts to figure out what the actual story was, National Public Radio was unsuccessful in finding the true story and was only able to trace the fake story.
