"A mixture of various concoctions that do not constitute tuna (NWP 3)".
A claim was made in Connecticut that subway was not serving the fresh ingredients that they claim. With Subway being known for their fresh ingredients, this puts their reputation on the line. The lawsuit that was made included both the sandwich and wraps from Subway do not contain any source of actual tuna. In fact multiple sandwiches were tested within California to see if any kind of fish period were inside of them. Other products were said to be used to give the subs an appearance of the tuna. Plaintiffs sued for unlawful adulteration and international misinterpretation. Subway denies this claim stating that the "tuna is one of our most popular products that is loved by our customers (NWP 5)".
