When it comes to popularity, these apps go head to head for the top spot. What about when it comes to useful information,well lets compare the two. Twitter known for its retweets and likes, and Instagram gives us a peek into other lives. Although Twitter is compiled with others thoughts, major news outlets can choose to have accounts which can become useful when you are looking for certain information. If those accounts tweet then others have a choice of liking, retweeting, and commenting, which can lead to getting the information out faster. Gary Vaynerchuk says "Twitter is the cocktail party of the internet; when stuff is happening in the world, twitter is where you go." On the other hand Instagram tells a different story, yes you can post articles to your story but that only last for 24 hours, if you are wanting to put important things on Instagram you best bet is posting a picture, writing a couple of sentences, and linking a site they can follow other then that Instagram is one big influencer party.
