Twitter and snapchat, both social media platforms used by a similar demographic of teenagers- young adults, are used in completely different ways when it comes to conveying the latest news. When it comes to snapchat, personalization is the game. Most users are younger, using it only to find pop-culture news and people. You can choose to add different idols to your news feed so that theirs is the first that shows up, and you can also add different types of political, health, or comedic news stories. These are called subscriptions, “ Those subscriptions are stories either from specific people or content creators on the app” (Godlewski). It is super convenient to have everything that you like at your fingertips.
