Before 2021 had begun, there were all ready questions lined up, like, when can we return to big group gatherings? Go back to the office? Get back to normal? Readers will have numerous questions and hopefully reporters can give the reader answers. We need reassurance that 2021 will be promising and full of hope after having a stressful 2020. Journalists now ask themselves” what will improve the readers daily lives?” (Readers embrace a low-information diet) Readers now out-source mutable news crews instead of sticking with one. Most Aericans now are trying to lessen their stress by surrounding themselves with the news. We can't predict what 2021 will bring for the reporting world, but we do know that people will always need a source of information. Social media apps such as TikTok and Instagram will become less of an influence on being a news source because they are a distraction and entertainment for the younger generation. As we start to normalize a little bit, people will become less proactive with the news, “I predict many people will be fine with low-information diet.”(Megan Mccarthy) The world changes little by little everyday but 2020 changed a lot in a short time frame. The journalism society has an unforeseen future and getting the correct information to the right individual at the right time.
