Although Twitter and Snapchat may be some of the more popular social media platforms, Facebook seems to be more reliable for users. Being that Facebook was one of the very first social media platforms, users trust this site the most for reading the news coverage. In an article by Amy Gesenhues, she claims a grand amount of “66 percent of Americans using Facebook, Pew Research Center says 45 percent of US adults get at least some of their news from the site”. Facebook has taken the title of the leading site for social media platforms with the most news viewings overall.
