Wall of lies up ahead

Arthur Jones

Journalism is headed down a road that can cause major havoc, as time progresses we find more and more false information in the media. With the 2020 presidential elections around the corner, we may see a spike in the number of lies. “In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, belief everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true” (Arendt). We have seen this take shape already with the president sharing false information on twitter and news media echoing his statements. In the near future, we will see lies being normalized in journalism.
