Walter Cronkte lived an interesting life to say the least, as a young boy he loved reading and reporting, he moved with his family to Houston TX, he then started his career during college as a journalist for United Press (UP; United Press International). UP sent Cronkite overseas to report on World War II he then traveled to London, he reported on the German bombing, the invasion of North Africa, D-Day he remained in Europe covering Nuremberg trials. Cronkite returned to America and started a new job with CBS news (1962-81), during this, Cronkite became “the most trusted man in America” reporting on John F. Kennedy assassination and the Apollo 11 Moon landing (etc.). Cronkite was the most loved journalist at his time, he had a calm way about he never seemed to be affected by what was going on at the time. What Cronkite did for the journalist today was set standers; never seem disturbed and have a peacefulness about you, Journalists today just want to get their story out fast and sometimes forget about their audience. His strategy was to report to the people not about the people. I find Walter Cronkite to be an inspiring man to many not just journalists, to be loved by many, we don't see much trust anymore as everyone and surrounded by themselves, we should learn how Cronkite achieved his fame.
