Watch For Fake News

Especially with the COVID-19 epidemic, news is constantly created/updated and rapidly spreads; therefore, it is more prone to being misinterpreted and/or inaccurate. According to a Harvard article on fake news, some reasons fake news has become so prevalent is because "social media feeds make it easier for us to share content [rather] than evaluate or even read it" and the fact that "people are more likely to accept information that confirms their beliefs and dismiss information that does not." Due to fake news being commonly circulated within a time where everyone is watching, it is important to learn ways to evaluate the legitimacy of news.
