Writer: Keegan BKeegan B

As a younger member of society who relatively recently came out from under the motherly money wing, paywalls are an unseemly obstacle. In regards to news sights, they block the way to today's most valuable resource, information. Don Day, a publisher of BoiseDev, recently wrote an article titled "Respect the non-paying audience" in which he briefly explains the business side of journalism, because capitalism, and how it's all about "reader revenue" and how it "is the phrase on everyone's lips." He explains how he "is generating tens of thousands in reader revenue without locking the public out of a single story." He, in his ultimate wisdom, urges "more publishers finding smart ways to grow their reader revenue business in ways that respect the audience."
