Today, the term "fake news" has skewed the way people view their news. It is hard to believe anything these days because behind every story there is an opinion and multiple sides of interpretation. But is it the news that is fake or the person delivering the information. On the website, WebWise they explain fake news and give their own definition, "Fake news is news, stories or hoaxes created to deliberately misinform or deceive readers"(webwise), basically stating that fake news was created to either start controversy over a topic, or instill fear of something in others to gain trust of the reader. But how do we stop fake news? I think the first step is to choose news sources that are trusted. If you get your news from multiple outlets compare information and fact check, because like the saying goes, not everything you hear or see is true. https://www.webwise.ie/teachers/what-is-fake-news/
