When it comes to reporting news and posting it, there is also an important decision to be made. That decision is which news is more important and should get priority. This decision comes down to political leanings and what would attract more audience. On the “Daily News” at the top of the paper, the headline reads “Pandemic within a Pandemic”, which refers to nursing home problems due to COVID-19. Along with this, there is news on BLM and elections. On the other hand, “The Reporter” reports about “Juneteenth March Held in Downtown Fairfield” which is about the Black Lives Matter movement. Along with this news, there is news of COVID-19, the death of an ambassador, and more news on BLM. From their reports, it is evident that both the sources are more on the liberal side as to their news on racism and BLM. Thus, it can easily be guessed what the leaning is from the news newspaper reports and news they prioritize.
