While reading news articles, pop-culture stories, and funny comics, sometimes we forget the fact that there is a journalist behind what we are reading. These people and their problems are often overlooked. For example, it is a common occurrence for journalists that are a person of color to be taken off of news stories over controversial topics, such as “ [not being able to objectively cover a story about the shooting of a black man by police”(Mosely). It stems from the idea that most white people will naturally have a neutral idea over the news, which is just not always correct. In the future it should be a priority to believe in the ability of all writers in writing without any sort of bias. (137 words, 1 image, 1 link, 1 quotation).
