Who Doesn't Like Music

Being a frequent user of Spotify, I found this article by Tim Carmody very interesting: https://www.niemanlab.org/2020/12/spotify-will-make-big-waves-in-video/. In this article, Tim Carmody, a media, technology, culture, and art writer, addresses how Spotify will enter a new era for music apps by bringing in video entertainment to their platform.

Tim said "The first videos will be videos of podcasts and/or made by current podcast producers." With this in mind, I find it hard not to think about the endless possibilities for YouTube artists like Dude Perfect to expand collaborations with music artists. Whether through Spotify or something else, this idea could lead to some more interesting innovations throughout the media industry. However, Tim does notes in his article that "...Spotify's and its subsidiaries' labor problems...won't go away any time soon..." After these issues have been addressed, the idea should be explored because of its massive potential to expand the media world even farther.
