WHY IS THIS TITLE BOLD!

Writer's picture: npring1npring1

"The truth is that most of us read continuously in a perpetual stream of incestuous words, but instead of reading novels, book reviews, or newspapers like we used to in the ancient régime, we now read text messages, social media, and bite-sized entries about our protean cultural history on Wikipedia." (Professor Jackson Bliss ) This statement that I read in an article from a newspaper ironically made me think about how newspapers appeal to our short attention span. They use giant bold titles and short paragraphs. Just enough to get you attention so that you read, and then they make sure that the informative section is just short enough that you read until the end.
